Constance "Connie" B. Anderson, 96, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Chippewa Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Eau Claire on August 23, 1912, to Rudolph and Amanda (Berg) Bauer. \r\nShe graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1930 and went to work at a local radio station and Penney's. \r\nConnie married Clare Johnson in 1935. He died in 1942 from an injury at work. She then went back to work in the office at Samuelsons department store. Connie married Arthur M. Anderson at Grace Lutheran Church on June 14, 1946 and were married for 46 years.\r\nConnie was a member at Grace Lutheran Church where she participated in Rachael Circle, Mission Circle, Friendship Circle and taught Sunday school. She was also a volunteer at Luther Hospital. She enjoyed painting, knitting, and all the wonderful summers spent at the cottage on Clear Lake.\r\nSurvivors include four nieces, Nancy (John) Logan of Altoona, Barbara (Jim) Onarheim of Hayward, Judy (John) Stafford of New Auburn, and Jeanne (Jim) Riley of New Auburn; a nephew, Billy (Margie) Krause of Eau Claire; two sisters-in-law, Cornie Bauer of Altoona and Merle "Cricket" Bauer of New Auburn; and several great-nieces and great nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Clare in 1942 and Arthur in 1993; two brothers, Daniel and Walter Bauer; and her sister, June Krause.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 22, 2009, in the chapel at Grace Lutheran Church, with Rev. David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. \r\nIn lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W.
