Obituary

Cora P. Larson, 92, formerly of 2215 Folsom St, Eau Claire died Friday, December 3, 2004, at the Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born in Eau Claire on August 6, 1912, the daughter of Martin and Embarg (Harsham) Hagen. \r\nShe graduated from Luther Hospital School of Nursing in 1934. Cora worked as a nurse at Luther Hospital, Clairemont Nursing Home, and retired after working at Mt. Washington Residence. During World War II, she was a nurse with Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington.\r\nCora married Lars L. Larson in Eau Claire on November 26, 1936.\r\nShe was a member of the Red Cross, Luther Hospital Alumni Association, and a life long member of First Lutheran Church.\r\nShe is survived by her daughter, Nancy Bell of Eau Claire; grandson, Matthew (Dawn) of Sanford, FL; and granddaughter, Michelle (Rodney) Sprinkle of Augusta; two great grandsons, Devin and Damien Sprinkle; a sister, Louise Robertson of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lars; daughter, Mary E. Larson; son-in-law, Fred Bell; four sisters, Dorothy Hagen, Edna Hagen, Sophie Solfest and Myrtle Stein; and her two brothers, Herman Hagen and Marvin Hagen.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2004, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to First Lutheran Church.\r\n
