Obituary

Cordula L."Cordie" Fenske, 88, of 212 Fulton Street died Monday, March 18, 1996 in Puerto Rico due to complications resulting from injuries received in an automobile accident. Cordie was born in Augusta,Wisconsin on December 3, 1907 to Henry and Marie (Karpensky) Kuehn. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church at Hay Creek on December 22, 1907. There she married Henry Fenske on April 9, 1928. Cordie joined Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on April 8, 1934. She worked at Samuelsons Dept. Store for 32 years, retiring in December of 1986. She leaves to mourn a son, Henry and daughter-in-law, Lucy who reside in Puerto Rico; five grand children, Michele, John, Grant, Giseyna and Kristopher; four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Cordie was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on October 4, 1975; her parents; five brothers, Mark, Ben, Gerhard, Theodore and Eugene; four sisters, Lydia, Irene, Johanna and Elizabeth.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel A. Hoelter officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
