Corraine M. Johnson, 83, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born in the Town of Drammen on August 20, 1920, the daughter of Helmer and Josephine (Johnson) Grorud. \r\nCorraine married J. Allen Johnson in Eau Claire on June 1, 1945. They just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.\r\nShe was a member of First Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and Thursday school classes. She belonged to Ladies Aid and various women's circles.\r\nSurvivors include, her husband, J. Allen; daughter, Nancy Bugni and son-in-law Glenn; granddaughter, Amanda-Helen Bugni all of Antigo; four sisters, Pearl Finseth, Hethel Erdman both of Eau Claire, Ruth Kalseth and Ruby Mueller both of Chicago; three brothers, Verner Grorud of Chippewa Falls, Calvin Grorud of Janesville and Vilas Grorud of Altoona; and many beloved nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Albert Grorud of Riverside, CA and Alerd Grorud of King, WI.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church Foundation.\r\n
