Coyla "Pat" Ulrich, age 88 of Eau Claire, died peacefully at Dove Healthcare West on May 16, 2013. Pat was born in Eau Claire, WI, on January 28, 1925, to Herbert and Clara (Nelson) Ulrich. Pat graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1943. She then attended and graduated with a degree in Education from the University in Eau Claire in 1947. After college she taught history at Nakoosa High School. She also taught in Winona MN, Green Bay WI, Fond Du Lac WI, and West Salem WI. While teaching in these schools she became a licensed librarian. In 1951, she got a scholarship to the University of Mexico to help establish the University's library. Pat then got her Master's Degree from La Crosse, WI in Audio and Visual. Pat enjoyed raising her Pug dogs, golfing, camping, and riding her motor cycle, but most of all, Pat enjoyed biking. In 1947, Pat joined the A.Y.H. and toured Europe for six weeks. The next year, she was ask back to lead another group on a tour through Europe. Pat is survived by her sister, Corrine Ulrich of Eau Claire and is preceded in death by her parents. Graveside Service will be at 11AM on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Lakeview Cemetery, 1500 Buffington Dr. Eau Claire, WI, with Pastor David J. Irgens officiating.
