Craig "C.C. " Butler, age 71, passed away peacefully in the care of Mayo Hospital in Rochester on March 23, 2025 after a brief battle with cancer. Craig was born November 5, 1953 to Helen Butler. Craig lived life to fullest. He enjoyed traveling to places such as New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas where he worked as a Black Jack Dealer for a while. Settling back in Eau Claire, Craig at one time owned C.C.'s Popcorn Stand on Water Street and C.C.'s Pub. He enjoyed spending his summers at his trailer on Lake Holcombe. Craig had a deep love for all animals, especially dogs. He lost Pork Chop, Charlie and Lewy along the way, but in his last years was enjoying the company of his canine neighbor buddy, Teddy. Craig is survived by his sister, Heidi (Brule) Dedrickson, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Butler, many aunts and uncles, other relatives and some very good friends. Craig will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A private graveside service will be held. There will be a celebration of life at Phat Bobs (Big Swedes) in Holcombe at a later date.
