Obituary

CURTIS E. CRAMER, 67, of 2009 Ohm Ave., Eau Claire, went to be with the Lord, Monday, July 12, 1999 at Luther Hospital. He was born on December 23, 1931 in Eau Claire to George and Minnie (Wollum) Cramer. Curt graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1950. He then attended and graduated from the DeVry Institute in Chicago, Illinois\r\nHe enlisted in the U.S. Navy on February 8, 1951 and served until his honorable discharge on January 19, 1955. On November 9, 1957, Curt married Susan J. Hauck at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire. He worked as a gas fitter for Northern States Power Co., until his retirement in 1991 after 34 years of employment.\r\nCurt was a member of Evangel Assembly of God Church, and was involved in music ministry at several area nursing homes. He enjoyed his annual fishing trip to the cabin with Susan, his children and grandchildren.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Susan; six children, Toni (Randy) Volbrecht of Fall Creek, Timothy of Eden Prairie, MN, Thomas (Lynette) of Altoona, Theresa (John) Anderson of Eau Claire, Sara Cramer of Reno, NV, and Andrew (Sara) of Mayville, WI; twelve grandchildren; four brothers, Morris (Erma) Cramer, Wayne (Joanne) Cramer, Gerald (Joanie) Cramer and Elger Cramer all of Eau Claire; two sisters, Janet (Bobby) Kopp of Eau Claire and Kay (Alvin) Spindler of Brooklyn Park, MN; and many nieces and nephews. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, LaVern.\r\nCurt brought tremendous blessing to his family and friends, with his quiet ways and serving heart. He will be missed by all.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11:00 a.m Thursday at Evangel Assembly of God Church with Pastor Steven L. Brandt officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, town of Washington where VFW Post # 305 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
