DAHLIA A. KUNERT, 88, formerly of 2418 Calumet Road, died Saturday, November 6, 1999 at The Clairemont. She was born March 19, 1911 in the Town of Washington, Eau Claire County to Julius and Ida (Moss) Kriesel. Dahlia married Walter H. Kunert in Eau Claire on September 3, 1933. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church Women Anew. Dahlia was a caring mother and great cook who enjoyed preparing wonderful meals for her dinner guests.\r\nSurvivors include her sister, Mabel Peterson; son-in-law, Dwight Halligan both of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Gertrude Kunert of Fall Creek; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nDahlia was preceded in death by her husband, Walter in 1989; daughter, Barbara in 1998; six sisters, Elsie Rickard, Alma Chamberlain, Helen Hotchkiss, Lucy Wiese, Lydia Rugotzke, Irene Kersten; and two infant brothers.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Friends may call an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Grace Lutheran Church.
