Dale C. Karlsrud, 67, of Eau Claire died Thursday, May 13, 2004 at his home. He was born in Eau Claire on October 8, 1936, the son of Dayton and Marion (Balts) Karlsrud. Dale had been an employee at Reach Inc. from 1999 until January 2004.\r\nSurvivors include his brother, Wayne (Kathleen) of Lakeville, MN; two sisters, Ann (Steve) Smith of Stone Lake and Joyce (Patrick) Philen of Menomonie; many nieces, nephews and cousins.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman.\r\nDale was a very special loving person who wore his heart on his sleeve. His family was dear to him and he was very fond of his nieces and nephews. His family is so thankful to his friends at Messiah Lutheran Church and the staff at Lutheran Social Services. Dale's struggle is over now and he is in his heavenly home. \r\nFuneral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Messiah Lutheran Church with Pastors Gullerud and Tiefel officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery in the town of Hallie.
