Dale W. Nasset, 81, of Eau Claire died Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born in Eau Claire on January 7, 1927, a son of William and Della (Waak) Nasset. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1944. He served in the U.S. Army during 1945 and 1946 in the 21st Ordinance Company deployed in Japan. Dale married Marjorie "Jean" Peterson in Eau Claire on July 19, 1947. Dale was a member of First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Dale is survived by his wife, Jean; son, Bradley (Joan) Nasset of Medford; and his daughter, Vicki (Allen) Holmstrom of Eau Claire. Also three granddaughters, Tamara Keller of River Falls, Haley (Todd) Hennlich of New Richmond, and Katie Holmstrom of Eau Claire; four great grandchildren, Tucker, Laney and Shelby Hennlich, and Kelsey Nasset (daughter of Tamara); his sister-in-law Marlene Nasset of St. Paul, MN; nephew, Joel (Emily) Nasset of Bloomington, MN; niece, Jill (Jim) Conlin of North Oaks, MN; and great nieces and great nephews Elle and Foster Conlin, and Calvin and Sophie Nasset. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, David Nasset. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2008, at First Lutheran Church, 1005 Oxford Ave., Eau Claire, with Pastor John E. Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire where VFW Post 305 will conduct military graveside honors. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
