Daniel M. Hanson, 65, of Winter, WI, died on Monday, March 12, 2018, in Eau Claire, WI. He was born June 18, 1952, in Milwaukee, WI, to Daniel H. and Marcella (Miller) Hanson. He married Karen Harper on March 22, 1980, and together they had 2 children, Daniel J. and Nathaniel. Daniel worked as a Lineman at Nabisco in Chicago, IL, from 1979-1999, when he was diagnosed with emphysema and went on permanent disability. In 2006, he left the big city for the small town of Winter, WI. He is survived by his sons, Daniel J. (Sally) and Nathaniel (Ashley); his grandchildren, Izak, Croix, Brinley, and Huck; his sister, Kathleen Hanson; and many nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Harper; and his parents. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E Lexington Blvd, Eau Claire, WI. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. and continue until the time of service at church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018, in Mt. Morris Holden Lutheran Cemetery, N3388 State Road 152, Wautoma, WI. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family to help pay for funeral expenses.
