"Tom" Judkins, 80, of Eau Claire, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2011.\r\n\r\nHe was born on February 10, 1931 in Eau Claire, to Manford and Mary (Candell)\r\nJudkins.\r\n\r\nHe grew up in Eau\r\n Claire and worked as an auto mechanic. He owned and\r\noperated Transmission Specialties on Water\r\n St. in Eau\r\n Claire for many years until he retired.\r\n\r\nTom enjoyed antique cars, fishing, and having coffee with\r\nhis friends. Year round he enjoyed feeding the ducks, birds, and geese at Carson Park\r\neach morning with his best friend Tim Ducommun. He was a generous man and\r\nalways willing to help his friends with anything they needed.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet; daughter,\r\nDebra (Tom) Manning; grandchildren, Allison Rice and Adam (Angie) Sommers; a\r\ngreat-grandchild expected in October; and step-granddaughter, Miriel Manning.\r\nHe was very close to his nephew Jim, whom he talked to daily. Tom is also survived\r\nby his faithful dog, Bubba; and many nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Arleen\r\n(Bemis); brothers, William, Ira, Jack, and Frank; and sister, Margaret.\r\n\r\nFuneral Services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011\r\nat Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau\r\n Claire with Deacon Larry Agema Officiating.\r\nVisitation will be one hour prior to the service.
