Darren Michael Edlund passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2021, at the age of 50.

Darren is survived by his daughter, Rachel (boyfriend, Ethan); mother, Margaret (Donald) Rice; father, George Edlund; sister, Jody (Pete); and brothers, Chris and Brian (Candace). He is preceded in death by grandfather, Arthur Eckert.

Darren was born on October 12, 1972, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He welcomed his daughter in 1995 with Jeannette Gall (deceased). Darren was a leader in his career at Atlas Sand in Kermit, Texas.

Darren was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He and his daughter used to participate in fishing tournaments, leading to sponsorships for ice fishing competitions later in life. He also made his own rods, flies and other fishing supplies, passing down his talent to Rachel.

He was a one-of-a-kind man who had many, many friends. His laughter was contagious and he was always quick witted and sharp with his words. He will be greatly missed by many but most of all by his best friend, his daughter.

A celebration of life will be held at 5515 165th Street in Chippewa Falls, by his daughter.
