DAVID C. DEROUIN, 41, formerly of 813 Zephyr Hill Ave., Eau Claire, died Sunday, October 1, 2000, at Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation South at Chippewa Falls following his courageous battle with cancer. David was born in Eau Claire on June 14, 1959, the son of Clyde and Arlys (McCarthy) Derouin. \r\nHe is survived by his mother, Arlys of Eau Claire; two sisters, Kathryn (Jeffry) Grosvold of Eau Claire, and Patricia (Edward) Hudella of North Branch, MN; a niece, Sarah Grosvold; a nephew, Andrew Grosvold; aunts, uncles and cousins; and his many special caregivers.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his father, Clyde in 1992, and his grandparents.\r\nDavid's family wishes to express their appreciation to the many caregivers that have cared for him throughout his years. "You are very special!"\r\nFuneral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, with Father Eugene Klink officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services on Wednesday. There will be a Public Prayer Service at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
