David A. Lindow, 69, of Eau Claire died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at his home. He was born in Eau Claire, WI, on February 22, 1937, the son of Roswell and Ione (Read) Lindow. \r\nHe graduated from Wisconsin Academy in Columbus, WI. \r\nDavid retired as Manager of Checker Auto Parts Store in Milwaukee in 2003. Following retirement he returned to Eau Claire.\r\nHe is survived by his mother, Ione Lindow of Williamsport, MD; two sons, Major David Lindow Jr. of Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Kevin Lindow of Bayport, MN; a daughter, Candace N. Lindow-Davies of Eagan, MN; four grandchildren, David Lindow III, Lauren Lindow, Lucas Davies, and Morgan Davies; his brother Dan (Claudia) Lindow of Williamsport, MD; two sisters, Karen Lloyd of Lynden, WA and Virginia Eggebrecht of Lake City, FL; and nieces and nephews. \r\nDavid was preceded in death by his father Roswell. \r\nMemorial services will be held on 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home.
