David D. Yaeger, 60, of Eau Claire died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona with Hospice care. He was born in Eau Claire on August 15, 1946, a son of Neil and Elna (Hazen) Yaeger.\r\nHe graduated from Memorial High School with the class of 1964, and attended Chippewa Valley Technical College for several years.\r\n David entered the U.S. Air force on June 14, 1966, during the Vietnam War. He served with the 786th Radar Squadron until his honorable discharge on April 13, 1970.\r\nHe had worked in the Maintenance Department at Luther Hospital\r\nDavid is survived by his mother, Elna; his two brothers, Thomas and Roger Yaeger; sister, Margaret Yaeger; aunt, Velma O'Mara; uncle, Emery Hazen; two nieces, Sara Walters and Amy Yaeger all of Eau Claire.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Neil; and nephew, Andrew Yaeger.\r\nFuneral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Dr. David H. Kruse officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire where American Legion Post #53 will conduct military graveside honors. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.\r\n
