Deborah ``Deb`` A. (Kohnke) Parizo, 66, died Thursday, September 13, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her family under the care of Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Home Health & Hospice. Deb was born March 10, 1952 in Eau Claire, daughter of Ronald and Donna (Bell) Kohnke. She grew up on the family farm in Elk Mound and married Marshel A. Parizo Jr. on December 9, 1972 at Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church in Elk Mound. She had worked at Orchard Hills for 15 years. Deb enjoyed camping and fishing with her family at Birch Point Campground on Marshmiller Lake. She was an avid reader of Steven King, V. C. Andrews, True Crime Stories, and enjoyed going to concerts and trips to the casino and spending time with her dogs, Otis and Ozzy. Deb is survived by her husband, Marshel; children, Suzanne (Jake) Emberson, Stephanie Parizo and Kelsey (Rick Helland) Parizo; eight grandchildren, Jake (Emma), Jared, Savonah, Jaylen, Jack, Memphis, Hayden and Tatyanna; brother, William (Janice) Kohnke; mother-in-law, June Parizo; her dogs, Otis and Ozzy. Deb is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Ewald and Dorothy Kohnke; parents, Ronald and Donna Kohnke; brother, Robert Kohnke; father-in-law, Marshel A. Parizo Sr.; and brother-in-law, Gary Parizo. Deb`s family wishes to thank Mayo Clinic Home Health & Hospice for their heartfelt care given to Deb. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire with Pastor Mary Eide officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm up until the time of the service at the funeral home.
