Delores "Bets" (Wold) Gynnild, 78, of Eau Claire died Sunday September 22, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. She was born in Eau Claire on June 6, 1924 to Nels and Olga (Engum) Wold.\r\nBets married Lawrence "Larry" Gynnild on November 11, 1942 in Eau Claire. She worked as a receptionist at Bertelson Accounting until her retirement.\r\nSurvivors include her son, Robert (Connie) Gynnild of Eau Claire; daughter, Diane (John) Sleizer of Rosemount, MN; four grandchildren, Gregory (Robin) Gynnild of Eau Claire, Jennifer (Tom) Paquette of Hudson, Stephanie (Jim) Fey of Eau Claire, and Sara (Josh) Hansen of Eau Claire; five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Ryan Gynnild, Lexi Hansen and Jonathan and Anna Paquette; sister, Noreen Flam of Eau Claire; two sisters-in-law, Dolly Gynnild and Gladys (Harold) Erickson both of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three sisters, Doris Krahn, Loretta Wold and Geraldine Nelson.\r\nBets enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her spare time was spent golfing, gardening, reading and vacationing in Golf Shores, AL.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mary Jorgenson officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Hematology Department at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
