Delores R. Kumferman, 89, of Eau Claire, WI joined her husband of 67 years, in time for church services, on Sunday, August 9, 2015. She died while in Hospice at home in Lindstrom, MN surrounded by friends and family after a long, courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Delores was born in Eau Claire, WI on February 23, 1926, the daughter of Guy and Esther (Boettcher) Kneeland. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School. She worked for the Federal Government in Quality Control at Presto Industries during and after the war in Chicago, Milwaukee and Eau Claire. She married George Kumferman on November 6, 1947 in Eau Claire where they resided for 67 years. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, serving as church Secretary for many years. She also enjoyed singing in the choir. She was an avid bowler, bowling in several leagues a week until age 84. She attended the National bowling tournaments for more than 30 years. She loved to play cards, travel , ride motorcycle with her husband and drink coffee with her neighbors. Delores is survived by her son, George (Renate) Kumferman; daughter, Rebecca (Patrick Hansen) Adams of Lindstrom, MN; four grandchildren, Aaron (Rachael) Kumferman of Plainfield, WI, Mark Kumferman of North Dakota, Stacy Adams of Eau Claire, WI and Jason (Margaret) Adams of Eau Claire; several great grandchildren; brother in law, David (Clarice) Kunferman; sister in law, Dereane(George) Gobler; and also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; three brothers, Kenneth, William and Wallace Kneeland; and a granddaughter, Sara Adams. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 13th, 2015 at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar St. Eau Claire, WI, with Pastor Michael Wollman officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the church. Private interment will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery near Spooner, WI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Lung Association or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
