Denise Marie Marten, age 42 of Eau Claire, passed away on September 1, 2013. She was born on December 22, 1970, in Eau Claire WI, to Gary Marten and Sherry Bever. Denise loved gardening, and had ha passion for flowers. She enjoyed relaxing with her two cats, Chompers and Precious, while listening to Christian music. She graduated from Altoona High School. Denise is survived by her mother, Sherry (Dan) Bever; daughter, Jessica Marie Brown; son, Devin Phillips; brothers, Paul (Becca) Marten and Wayne Marten; and her father, Gary Marten. She is preceded in death by her grandparents; step-brother, Danny Bever; aunt, Lenora Kumferman; uncle, Kenneth Kumferman; and cousin, Jimmy Przybilla. Denise will be missed dearly by her mother and her children. Funeral Service will be at 11AM on Friday, September 6, 2013, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, WEST CHAPEL, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, with a visitation beginning at 9AM. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Independence WI.
