Dennis Jon Anderegg, 63, of Eau Claire, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 28, 2014, at his home. He was born on January 7, 1951, in Christie, Wisconsin to Edward and Violet (Johnson) Anderegg. He grew up in the Greenwood area and attended Neillsville High School. He went on to attend UW Stevens Point and graduated from CVTC with a degree in business. Dennis was in insurance sales all his life, and most recently employed at Jack Link's Auto and RV in Lake Hallie. On May 26, 1973, he married Alexa Brunner. They moved to Eau Claire shortly after, where they began and raised their family. His greatest love was being with his four sons; teaching them to hunt, fish, and play baseball and football. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, participating in fishing contests, and camping. He always enjoyed family hunting trips, helping others, arguing with his dog, Tucker, spending time with his family and friends playing cards and cribbage, and finding bargains while thrift shopping and antiquing. His grandkids were his pride and joy. He loved spending time with them, reading stories, playing hide and seek and having pillow fights. Dennis is survived by his wife of 41 years, Alexa; sons, Anthony (Jennifer) of Chippewa Falls, Nathan (Katy) of Madelia, MN, Ryan (Lori) of Eau Claire, and Dennis (Kate) of Eau Claire; grandsons, Alex and Joshua; with one more grandchild on the way; brother, Jerry (Diane); sister, Ann (Larry) Weber; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at the WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave.
