DENNIS K. JEVNE, 56, of 511 Summit Ave., Eau Claire, died Sunday, September, 26, 1999 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. He was born in Eau Claire on March 31, 1943 to Franz and Angeline (King) Jevne. He graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School with the class of 1961. Dennis married Carol A. Moen on November 7, 1964 in Eau Claire.\r\nBefore he became disabled, Dennis was president and owner of Home Oil, Inc.\r\nDennis was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Eau Claire Evening Optimists Club. Dennis loved life, and enjoyed visiting with people. He was a volunteer at the Paul Bunyan Logging Camp, Luther Hospital and the Eau Claire Convention and Visitors Bureau. Dennis made many special friends through the Chippewa Valley Transplant Group, where much needed support was given and received. This support was greatly appreciated.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Carol; a son, Christopher of Kennewick, WA; two sisters, Shirley Jensen of Jennerstown, PA, and Vonnie (Ellis) Stearns of Severna Park, MD; two sisters-in-law, Sharon (Dan) Van Den Heuvel of Green Bay, and Bev (Bill) Childs of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel A. Hoelter officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (today) at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services, Wednesday at the church.
