Diane Elaine (Potts) Smith, 67, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully, Saturday January 8, 2011 in her home, with her family by her side. Diane was born August 3, 1943 in Eau Claire, a daughter of Frank and Ardith Potts. Diane attended Eau Claire Memorial High School. On January 27, 1962 she married Noel Smith in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire. Diane was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.Diane is survived by her husband, Noel Smith; a daughter, Theresa (Bud) Brommer of Eau Claire, a son Jeff (Michelle) Smith of Eau Claire, and daughter, Sandra Farley of Chicago; granddaughters, Megan Smith, Ella Smith and Lily Smith; a great-grandson, Brady Wilson; and a brother, Dale (Arlene) Potts .She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ardith Potts; and a brother, Don Potts.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, with Monsignor Edmund Klimek celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Avenue, Eau Claire, and one hour prior to the Mass Wednesday at church.In lieu of flowers the family would suggest memorials to Natures Edge Therapy Center 2523 14-3/4 Avenue Rice Lake, WI 54868 naturesedge@citizens-tel.net
