Domenic J. "Don" Spagnoletti, 83, of Elk Mound, passed away Saturday, December 2, 1995 at Luther Hospital.\r\nDon was born January 15, 1912 in Bessemer, Michigan to Anton and Tomasina (Galucci) Spagnoletti. He married Donna F. Cartwright on October 21, 1938 in Menomonie.\r\nAfter graduating from A.D. Johnston High School,Bessemer in 1930 he enlisted in the Civilian Conservation Corps and earned the rank of lst Sergeant. He worked at National Presto Industries and while there was a member of Phil Murray's , National Wage Policy Committee. He had worked at UW Eau Claire and retired from UW Stout in 1977.\r\nDon was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served in numerous capacities. He was a member of the Elk Mound Village Board for 25 years, served on the Elk Mound School Board, and was a member of Moose Lodge 1408. He was member of Masonic Lodge # 164 F&AM, a 32nd degree, and Zor Shrine Temple of Madison.\r\nDon is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Donna; four sons, Daryl "Corky" (Barb) of Menomonie, Gari (Betsy) of Appleton, Jim (Bev) of Belvidere,IL., Tom (Joan) of Elk Mound; two daughters, Diane (Dave) Hennig of Eau Claire, Mary "T" (Bill) Schoeneberg of South Milwaukee; thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother, Alphonse Tudesco; two sisters, Mary Huber and Lucille Jaromina all of Eau Claire.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Catherine.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Elk Mound with Pastor Charles Strong officiating. Interment will be in Waneka Cemetery, Town of Spring Brook. Friends may call 4:30 to 8:30 P.M. (Today) Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the Church.\r\nDon was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was a lover of music, enjoyed golfing, all other sports, was an avid reader and Packer fan.
