Donald E. Fjelstad, 71, of Eau Claire died Friday, August 8, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Eau Claire on July 9, 1932 the son of Helmer and Gladys (Sorenson) Fjelstad. He was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church.\r\nSurvivors include his brother, LaVerne of Eau Claire; sister, Irene Schouviller of Cold Springs, MN; and many nieces and nephews, including, Paula (Todd) Fjelstad-Hebert; and great nephew, Jeremy Fjelstad.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Edna Fjelstad, Beverly Fjelstad, and June Peterson; and three brothers, Clifford, Merle and Kenneth Fjelstad.\r\nFamily Graveside services were held today 10 a.m. Monday August 11, 2003 at Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax, with Pastor Frederick C. Sauder officiating. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services served the family.\r\nFamily suggests memorials be directed to Special Olympics, 2027 Fairfax St., Eau Claire, WI 54701
