Donald "Don" E. Huber, 67, of 1811 Ash Street died Sunday, February 4, 1996 at Luther Hospital\r\nDon was born December 24, 1928 in Wisconsin Rapids to Elmer and Nettie (Scott) Huber. He graduated with the class of 1946 from Eau Claire Senior High School. Don married Mary K. Olson in Eau Claire on February 16, 1952. He served four year active duty at Fort Polk, LA in the United States Army during the Korean War and six with the reserves until his honorable discharge as Sergeant First Class. Don worked forty seven years at Holsum Bakery until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Luther Hospital Good Samaritan Club, and was a volunteer at Luther Hospital and with Meals on Wheels.\r\nDon is survived by a son, Mark (Kimberly) Huber of Bloomer; a daughter, Kathy (Bill) Lund of Afton,MN; two grandchildren, Ashley and Brett Huber both of Bloomer.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 1992; an infant daughter, Vickie Jane; his parents and a sister, Arlene Knutson.\r\nMemorial Services will be at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Barbara A. Koch officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.Friends may call 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.\r\nThe Family requests that memorials be directed to the Luther Hospital Good Samaritan Club.
