Donald A. Schulz, 87, of Eau Claire passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Eau Claire. He was born on October 19, 1925 in Milwaukee to Raymond and Rose (Monday) Schulz. In 1944, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Philippines during WWII. After the war in 1950, Don married Dorothy Hunsicker in Milwaukee, WI. Don was employed for over 30 years by Schlitz Brewery and retired from the company in 1986. After retirement, Don moved to Lake Wissota where he enjoyed fishing, being on the lake, gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his two daughters, Deena Schulz, and Dawn (Brian) Hering Schulz; three granddaughters, Kallista, Meghan and Gracie; and three brothers, Ray (Mary), Jim and Dick. Don was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Gord. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire. A second visitation will take place from 10 to Noon, on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Resurrection Cemetery, 9400 West Donges Bay Road in Mequon, WI, with burial following military honors.
