Donna M. Govin, 76, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2006 in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was born on January 22, 1930, in Chippewa Falls, WI, the daughter of Jack and Ollie (Lambert) Allen.\r\nOn August 7 1954, Donna married Richard "Dick" J. Govin at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. Dick passed on April 29, 1986.\r\nIn her 76 years, she saw many joys and sorrows. Later in life, she most enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. She loved being loved and never let a kind act go unappreciated. Donna was a shining light to all who knew her. She could charm the fiercest snake and sell ice to an Eskimo all, with dignity and grace. She will be dearly missed.\r\nDonna is survived by three children, Cindy Leeper of Alpine, WY, Jon (Jennifer Shimek) Govin of Champlin, MN, and Lisa (Dennis) Gross of Madison, WI; four grandchildren, Heidi&Bryan Leeper, and Morgan&Jessica Govin; a great grandchild, Hadley Toolson; \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Jack Allen. \r\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altoona with Fr. Norbert Wilger celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in Chapel of the Resurrection Mausoleum in Eau Claire. Family and friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., with a public prayer vigil service at 7:30 p.m., at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to Mass Saturday at church.\r\n
