Donna Lou Hays, 81, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018. She was born in Eau Claire, on October 30, 1937, a daughter to Harry and Luella (Betcher) Harms. Donna was raised in Altoona, WI. She married Vane "Stan" Hays on September 14, 1957, and they raised four children together. Donna worked in the mailroom at UWEC. She then went on to get her Registered Nursing Degree and worked in nursing at a number of area facilities, primarily Chippewa Manor. Donna enjoyed camping, waterskiing, hunting, fishing, dancing and family get togethers. Donna is survived by her children, Jim (Marcy) Hays, Cindy (Darrell) Nelson, Tom Hays and Dan (Jenny) Hays; grandchildren, Michael (Sydney) Hays, Jessica Hays, Rachael Nelson, Naomi (Kyle) Sands, Bethany (Daniel) Gant, Nathan (Nicole) Nelson, Isaac Hays, Levi Hays and Elise Hays; and great-grandchildren, Holt Hays, Alden Hays, Emmaline Sands, Lucy Sands, Isaiah Gant and Joshua Gant. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 601 Fall St. in Eau Claire, with Pastor Jeff Carlson officiating and Rev. Dr. Timothy Heupel assisting. Visitation will be at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018, and again one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Township of Menomonie. ​
