Donna M. Stansbury, 72, of Eau Claire, died Monday, November 19, 2007, at home surrounded by her family, under the care of Northwest Hospice. She was born Dallas, Wisconsin on June 7, 1935, the daughter of Carl and Helga (Gunderson) Anderson. \r\nDonna married David W. Stansbury on July 1, 1956 in Ridgeland, WI.\r\nShe worked as a physician's medical assistant until staying home to raise her family. She later worked in food service at Delong Middle School and Mt Washington school until her medical retirement.\r\nShe was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nDonna enjoyed gardening particular growing African Violets, sewing and cooking for her family.\r\nDonna is survived by her two sons, Todd Stansbury of Kenyon, MN and Eric Stansbury of Eau Claire; sister, Colleen (Erling) Wheeler of Menomonie; and nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David in 1990; and brother, Arlen Anderson.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2007, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastor Sherm Iverson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope-Pine Creek Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Wilson near Ridgeland, WI. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\n
