Dorothy E. Du Cette, 91, of Eau Claire, passed away on Saturday, May 12 2007, at her daughter's home. She was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin on January 11, 1916, the daughter of George and Ruth (Eiter) Bauer.\r\nDorothy married Joseph B. Du Cette on February 14, 1942, in San Diego, CA. They retuned to Eau Claire and made it their home.\r\nShe was a homemaker most of her life, and also worked as a clerk at the Farmer's Store and Samuleson's Department Store.\r\nDorothy was a charter member of St. Olaf Parish in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was well known for her hand knit baby sweaters and her good cooking.\r\nDorothy is survived by two her daughters, Kathryn Nelson and Barb Du Cette, both of Eau Claire; son, Joseph Du Cette of Haddonfield, NJ; two grandson's, Brian Nelson of Eau Claire and Matthew Du Cette of Haddonfield, NJ; great grandson, Jayden Nelson of Eau Claire; and three nieces and a nephew.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph in 1996; her brother, Robert Bauer; and sister, Catherine Lund.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire with Father Brian Konopa officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Eau Claire. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
