DOROTHY "DOT" O. CHATTERSON, 79 of 302 Chestnut St., died Tuesday, November 9, 1999 at Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born February 17, 1920 in Eau Claire to Ole and Martha (Staedy) Otterson. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1937. Dot married Ray L. Chatterson on February 16,1946 in Las Vegas, NV. They lived ten years in Edinburgh, Scotland where Ray worked for U.S. Rubber. Returning to the United States they lived in New York, Mississippi, Ohio and Texarkana, Texas. After Ray's death, Dot returned to Eau Claire in 1979.\r\nShe was a member of Christ Church Cathedral where she was a Lector for Sunday Services. She had been a volunteer at Syverson Lutheran Home, and read for the audiotapes program for the blind. \r\nSurvivors include a son, Derek of Lawton,OK; step-son, Fred Chatterson of Little Rock, CA; sister, Marion Isaacson of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray, in 1975; son, Scot, in 1995; and two brothers, Gerald and Orlando.\r\nMemorial services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Christ Church Cathedral with the Very Rev. H. Scott Kirby officiating. Friends may call from 3 p.m. Friday until time of services at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family. \r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Christ Church Cathedral Episcopal.
