Dorothy A. Gordon, 85, of Eau Claire died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at her home.She was born in Minneapolis on December 10, 1922, the daughter of Fredrich and Tina (Christopherson) Tadsen.\r\nAs a child Dorothy's family lived in numerous locations, primarily in the New York City and Washington DC areas before returning to the Minneapolis.\r\nShe graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis. Dorothy was a Registered Nurse, graduating from Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in 1945.\r\nDorothy married Dale E. Gordon on September 12, 1946, in Minneapolis.\r\nShe worked as a Registered Nurse at University of Wisconsin Health Services, and at the Uniroyal Plant in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nDorothy loved summers at the cabin at Stone Lake, knitting, quilting, and making stain glass for her family.\r\nDorothy is survived by her husband, Dale; three children, Dean (Debbie) Gordon of Glenwood Springs, CO, Dennis (Patricia) Gordon of Hamilton, MT, and Darlene (Mark) Larson of Glenwood Springs, CO; five grandchildren, Ryan Gordon, Allison (Yates) Osborn, Bryanna Gordon, and Jodi and Erik Larson.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; and her step-mother, Mabel (Nelson) Tadsen.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2008, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Eau Claire with Pastor Karen M. Hofstad officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Eau Claire at a later date. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\nHer family requests memorials please be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, 1804 Highland Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54701.\r\n
