Dorothy "Dottie" Hazel Jenks, 89, died on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Dorothy was born on April 26, 1923, to Hazel and Frank Jenks in Madison, WI. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin and worked as the office manager for Mead and Hunt in Madison until her retirement in 1988. In 2006 she moved to Eau Claire, WI. She especially enjoyed her cats, doing needlework, and reading mystery books. She had a mind for details and often surprised her friends and family with all the things she knew. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Marguerite Schneider and Katharyn Savides; her brother, Franklin Jenks; and niece Peggy Fefel. She is survived by her nieces, Ann Dolan, Betsy (Terri) Savides, and Ruth Tanner; her nephews, John (Phyllis) Savides, Paul (Peggy) Savides, and Steve (DeeDee) Savides; and several great-nieces and nephews. Burial will be at a later date at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, WI. Many thanks to her caregivers at Dove Healthcare West, Heatherwood Assisted Living, and Mayo Clinic Home Health and Hospice.
