DOROTHY E. KOPPLIN, age 86, formerly of 716 W. Grand Ave., died Tuesday, September 15, 1998 at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown,WI.She was born April 12, 1912 in Crookston,MN, to Herman and Lydia (Becker) Hinz. She graduated from Mayville Teachers College in Mayville,ND., and was a graduate of Luther Hospital School of Nursing in Eau Claire. Dorothy married Lambert H. Kopplin in Spencer, WI, on May 19, 1940. She retired as Chief Surgical Nurse at Luther Hospital in 1977.\r\nDorothy was a member of the Luther Hospital Nurses Alumni Assoc., and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where she had been active in Ladies Aid.\r\nSurvivors include a daughter, June (James) Galipeau of Lynwood,CA; a son, Harold (Kay) of Watertown; three grandchildren, Tammy (Scott) Hurley, Gaye Kopplin and Kirk (Kaye) Kopplin; a sister, Cordelia Berg of Marshfield; and several nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Lambert in 1952; her parents, and a sister, Lydia Hinz.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel A. Hoelter officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church.
