Dorothy H. Lord, 90, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at Dove Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born October 22, 1911 in Eau Claire to Andrew and Hattie (Geibel) Hovland. Dorothy married Robert S. Lord on August 31, 1934 in Crown Point, Ind. \r\nShe was a member of the antique club in Eau Claire, a Republican ladies group and volunteered in the gift shop at Luther Hospital. Dorothy worked for Luttrell Photography in sales and bookkeeping until her retirement. \r\nShe was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ.\r\nSurvivors include two daughters, Janet (Donald) Wettengel of Phoenix, Ariz. and Barbara (Marvin) Slifer of Philadelphia, Penn.; son, Anthony (Sharrie) Lord of Orangevale, Calif.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Donnie Gehring of Eau Claire; and many nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and three sisters, Geraldine Klein, Beatrice Lundquist and Mildred Lasker.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2002 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Sandee D. Kosmo officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
