Dorothy Helen Pedersen, 85 of Eau Claire died at home on Saturday, December 29, 2007. She was born in Eau Claire on November 27, 1922, to John and Ella (Lischitzki) Everson.\r\nDorothy graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1940. She worked various places in Eau Claire, Tennessee, and California before marrying Harvey Pedersen on January 26, 1946, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. \r\nDorothy was able to stay home and raise her family. Later on she took much pleasure in doing ceramic work where she made many lovely pieces that are still being enjoyed by family and friends. Harvey and Dorothy, with their family, enjoyed summers at their cottage in Chetek on Prairie Lake. Several winters were also spent in Mesa, AZ. Dorothy's long time friendship with neighbors meant everything to her. Her love of people and sense of humor endeared her to many.\r\nDorothy is survived by her son David and wife Jone (Sahr) of McFarland, WI and two grandsons, Eric and Karl Pedersen. She is also survived by a daughter Karen Roholt and husband David, two granddaughters Lisa Lukis (Brian) and Lori Roholt and friend David Yorde. Dorothy was also blessed with a great granddaughter Mirah Joy Lukis, born in October 2007. A sister-in-law Beulah Pedersen, and nieces and nephews also survive her.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey who died in September of 2000; her parents; a brother, Richard Everson; and a special sister-in-law, Olga Martin who died just four months ago.\r\nThe family would like to thank the many people that cared for Dorothy these past couple of years: doctors and nurses at Luther Hospital, Oakwood Villa nursing home, Visiting Angels care givers, and Northwest Homecare Hospice.
