Drusilla "Dru" Mae Winger, 87, of Eau Claire went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.\r\nDru was born the daughter of Blanche and Orvis Kennedy in Eau Claire on January 26, 1921. She grew up in and attended Eau Claire schools. She married Clarence Winger on September 16, 1939. They shared 68 years of marriage together.\r\nShe loved camping, traveling, and taking each grandchild on a special vacation. She was an accomplished pianist and spent many hours playing the piano. She enjoyed her bible study group, which she attended for many years. Her greatest joy was her family.\r\nShe is survived by her husband, Clarence; two sons, Richard (Connie) of Eau Claire and Randy (Cathy) of Augusta; two daughters, Marlene (Tom) Perry and Julie (David) Hepfler, both of Eau Claire; Dru was blessed with nine grandchildren, Kevin (Margie) Perry, Gregg (Jana) Perry, Kim (Jon) Mathwig, Karen (Jeff) Kincaid, Jason (Cindy) Hepfler, Justin (Stephanie) Hepfler, Gia (Darryn) Elliott, Jessica Winger, Samantha (Mike) Bouchard; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty McSorely and Darlene (Art) Garza both of Zapata, TX.\r\nShe was the family's "Prayer Warrior", a precious wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She led an incredible life and was a blessing and inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church with Pastor Rodney Venberg officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. \r\n
