EARL W. NORRISH, 77, of 3566 Halsey St., died Tuesday, January 14, 1997 at Luther Hospital. He was born November 7, 1919 in Eau Claire to Walter and Hazel (Lockin) Norrish. Earl grew up and resided in Rock Falls until 1946. He graduated from Durand High School with the class of 1939.\r\nEarl married Lorraine M. Wick on May 29, 1946 at First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. He served in Italy with the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1947. He retired from Uniroyal in 1982 after 36 years of service. Earl was a member of the First Lutheran Church, and Loyal Order of Moose #1408 for over 25 years. He had bowled on the Moose club team and was currently on the Senior Citizen's team. In addition to bowling, he loved to fish, hunt, golf and play cards.\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine; two sons, William (Kayoko) of Eau Claire, and Richard (Renee Reed) of Mpls; a daughter, Kathleen (Patrick) Kurtz of Chippewa Falls; five grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren, Michael and Christina Norrish, Brian Brunner, Ki and Mia Norrish, Todd and Kari Kurtz; four sisters, Anna Cass, Margaret Jacobson and Jennie Mae Kirk all of Eau Claire and Irene McGinty of Bear Creek; two sisters-in-law, Nellie Norrish of Mondovi and Joanne (Roger) Flaten of Eau Claire; two brothers-in-law, Alvin Andress of Chippewa Falls and R. James (Elaine) Wick of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews.\r\nEarl was preceded in death by a son, Robert; his parents; a brother, Frank and a sister, Ruth Andress. Funeral Services will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert E. Esse officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
