Earl R. Schwoch, 86, of 3433 Delbert Road, and formerly of Rt. 2 Strum died Monday, September 30, 1996 at Luther Hospital. He was born May 13, 1910 on the family farm in the Town of Otter Creek to Max and Grace (Haugh) Schwoch.Earl married Florence Bean in Eau Claire on June 25, 1932. He worked 40 years for Uniroyal, traveling to many countries as a "trouble shooter" for their heavy equipment division and retired as a supervisor in 1972. As an active member of Hallie United Methodist Church, Earl had served on several boards and committees, was a member of it's Lake Hallie Men's Club; and had served as a board member for Prairie View Cemetery.\r\nSurvivors include two sons, Dale(Helen) of Strum and Loren (Judy) of Eau Claire; a daughter, Kathleen(Charles) Wiese of Fort Wayne, Indiana; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; a brother, Melvin Schwoch and a sister, Helen Thoreson both of Eau Claire; several nieces and nephews.\r\nEarl was preceded in death by his wife, Florence in 1988; a grandson, Matthew Schwoch; and a brother, Alton.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Friday at Hallie United Methodist Church, Town of Hallie with Pastor Richard Rushton officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to Hallie United Methodist Church.
