EARL C. ZSCHERNITZ, age 74, of 2120 Heights Dr., died Sunday, March 22, 1998 at The Clairemont. He was born May 5, 1923 in Neillsville to Carl and Mathilda (Dobes) Zschernitz. Earl married Rose Meissner in Neillsville in 1951. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II until his honorable discharge in 1943 Following the war, Earl returned to Neillsville where he worked at American Stores Dairy before moving to Eau Claire in 1961. He was a member of American Legion Post #200 in Black River Falls.\r\nSurvivors include three sons, Michael (Dorothy) and Jeff both of Marshfield, Randall of Arkansas; two daughters, Cheryl (Don)Vick of Stratford and Linda (Lee) (LAST NAME) of Vesper; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Louis (Gen) of Neillsville, Melvin (Rose) of Marshfield, LaVern (Anne) of Stanley and Glenn (Anne) of White Bear Lake,MN; and a daughter, Rose Anderson of Hewitt.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. \r\nFuneral Services will be at private at a later date.
