Edith M. Beighley, 86, formerly of 4316 Oakwood Hill Parkway died Friday, April 6, 2007, at Dove Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Eau Claire. She was born in the town of Washington, Wisconsin on October 2, 1920 the daughter of Hilbert and Millie (Torkelson) Hendrickson.\r\nEdith married Melvin L. Beighley in Eau Claire on June 1, 1940.\r\nShe worked many years as a seamstress for Deutsch Furs until her retirement.\r\nShe was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.\r\nEdith is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Charles) Mortenson of Inver Grove Heights, MN; three grandchildren, Jodi (William) Schuman of Nevada, IA, Eric (Teaira) Mortenson of North St. Paul, MN and Matthew (Mary) Mortenson of Cheyenne, WY; three great grandchildren, Amanda Schuman, Kendra Mortenson and Kelsey Mortenson; her sister, Avis LaRock of Eau Claire; and nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin; and two brothers, Clinton and Harold Hendrickson.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Rev. David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church chapel. \r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
