Edna S. Gibson, 83, of Eau Claire died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Luther Hospital. She was born in Chimney Rock, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin on June 3, 1923, the daughter of Earl and Stella (Jacobson) Back.\r\nShe was baptized and confirmed at Chimney Rock Lutheran Church.\r\nShe graduated from 8th Grade at Borst Valley School. \r\nEdna married Dwaine Gibson on October, 16, 1943, in Whitehall, WI.\r\n She worked at National Presto Industries as a defense worker during WWII, and at the Co-op Shopping Center for 20 years until her retirement in 1985 \r\nEdna is survived by two daughters, Diane Insteness of Eau Claire and Kathleen (Jeff) McInnis of Chippewa Falls; step daughter, Judy (Donald) Flower of Henderson, NV; four grandchildren, Rick Insteness of Eau Claire; Kelly (Milt) Moen III of Eleva; Paul Rognlien of Las Vegas, NV; and Matt Rognlien of Coon Rapids, MN; four great grandchildren, Bennett, Cody and Jordan Moen of Eleva; and Devin Rognlien of Coon Rapids, MN; five sisters, Verda Hicks of Augusta; Lucille Holden of Melbourne, FL; Delores (Sherman) Ronnei of Mondovi; Shirley Alf of Chippewa Falls; Barbara Johnson of Mondovi; and many nephews and nieces, and her special friend, Lester Solfest of Strum, whom she loved to go dancing with.\r\nEdna was preceded in death by her husband, Dwaine; her parents; two sisters, Merle Rene and Marion Dickinson; and two granddaughters, Tara Ann McInnis and Becky Sue Rognlien. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
