Edna Genevive Knudtson, 97, of Eau Claire died Sunday, August 19, 2007, at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born in Gilmanton, WI on February 23, 1910, a daughter of Albert and Marie (Finrud) Gunderson.\r\nEdna married Lawrence "Snuffy" Knudtson on March 21, 1929, at First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. \r\nShe worked in the cafeteria at National Presto and also at Drummond's Packing Company.\r\nEdna was an excellent seamstress and loved camping up north with her family. \r\nShe was a member of Pinehurst Lutheran Church and a former member of First Lutheran Church.\r\nEdna is survived by a son, Harold (Janice) Knudtson and two daughters, LaDonna Mahder and Margie (Thomas) Knickerbocker all of Eau Claire; son-in-law, Harvey Julson of Eau Claire; a daughter-in - law, Jody Knudtson of Racine; twenty two grandchildren; forty six great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Marie Knudtson of Fall Creek and Eleanor Lenz of John Day, OR; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence this past May; a son, Raymond; a daughter, Shirley Julson; a son-in-law, Robert Mahder; four brothers, Clarence (Alberta), Emmett (Valma), LeVere (Jean), and Leroy (Pearl) Gunderson; six sisters, Sadie (Mike) Brion, Myrtle (Bill) Balkom, Agnes (Bud) Brill, Hazel (August) Hauptman, Lillian (Lester) Brown, and Amy (John) Olson. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2007, at Pinehurst Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastor Martin Doepel officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery, in the Village of Lake Hallie. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.\r\n
