Edna A. Solberg, 92, of Albertville died Monday, October 3, 2005 at Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls. She was born in the town of Wheaton on February 3, 1913, the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Kerner) Krueger. Edna married Oscar Solberg on November 4, 1933 in the town of Wheaton.\r\nThey farmed near Albertville in the town of Wheaton until their retirement.\r\nShe was life-long active member of Big Elk Creek Lutheran Church where she had taught Sunday school and was a member of Ladies Aid, Lydia Circle, and Quilters of the church.\r\nSurvivors include her daughter, Elaine (James) Kragness of Elk Mound; three sons, Larry (Cora) of Elk Mound, David (Diane) of Dubuque, IA, and Arlyn (Joanne) of Elk Mound; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Martha McCarthy of Eau Claire, Mildred Fry of Vadnais Heights, MN, Lillian Solberg of Elk Mound, and Phyllis Hintzman of Menomonie; brother, LaVern (Lois) Krueger of Chippewa Falls; three sisters-in-law, Irene Ovren and Mary Ellen Solberg both of Elk Mound, and Melvina Evenson of Colfax; brother-in-law, Louis (Alda) Solberg of Rusk; and many nieces nephews, cousins and friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar in 1994; daughter-in-law, Leslie Solberg; two sisters, Elsie Buntz and Emma Krueger; and three brothers, Edwin, Gustave and infant Harold.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005, at Big Elk Creek Lutheran Church with Pastor Hal A. Schroetter officiating. Burial will be in Big Elk Creek Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.\r\n \r\n
