Edward "Ed" H. Frasl, 92, of the Town of Washington, died Friday, April 27, 2018, at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire. He was born in Prairie Farm, WI, on April 2, 1926, a son of Edward and Mary (Hurlburt) Frasl. Ed served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. While in the Navy, he trained to be a diesel mechanic. Ed married Mary "Jane" Grant on September 7, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio. She passed away on February 9, 1998. He married Marguerite "Beverly" Tobisch on July 1, 2006. Ed worked as a construction worker for many years, before going to work at Wally's Mack for several years. He then moved on to work as a maintenance mechanic for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where he worked for 20 years until he retired. Ed was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed building things with wood. Ed was a very loving husband and father and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Ed is survived by his wife, Bev; daughter, Janie Heitkamp; step-children, Emily, John, Barbara, Angela, Paul, Patrick, Mary, Peter, Daniel and Ellen; brothers and sisters, Jerry (Janet), Pat (Ron), Joan, June (Roger) and Richard (Pam); seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane; daughter, Susan Steen; son, Edward "Bud"; parents; brothers and sisters, Roy, Michael, Frank, Edna, Katherine, Peggy, Emily and Delores. The family wishes to thank everyone at Dove Healthcare West for loving and taking such good care of Ed. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Hope United Methodist Church, 2233 Golf Road, in Eau Claire, with Pastor Hyejung Hwang officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in Elk Mound Evergreen Cemetery in the Town of Elk Mound with Military Honors conducted by VFW Post 305. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services is serving his family.
