Edward J. Tusken, 88, of 619 Flaten Court, Eau Claire, died Monday, January 6, 2003 at The Clairemont. He was born in Eau Claire on July 25, 1914 the son of Thomas and Ludmilla (Novak) Tusken. Edward married Marjorie "Chris" Christopher in Eau Claire on October 5, 1940 and was married 62 years. He entered the U.S. Army November 15, 1942, serving until his honorable discharge in 1945. Edward was a plant superintendent for Peters Meats and later a quality engineer at Uniroyal until his retirement. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Edward is survived by three brothers-in-law, Woodrow (Elvera) Christopher of Worthington, Minnesota and Werner (Joyce) Taves and Lawrence Anderson of Eau Claire; four sisters-in-law, Joyce (Werner) Taves, Norma and Maxine Christopher all of Eau Claire and Elvera (Woodrow) Christopher of Worthington, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie "Chris" in 2002; his parents; a brother, George; two sisters, Helen Peterson and Rosamund Mertes. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2003 at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
