Egon Gerald "Jerry" Martin, 88, a resident of Clairemont Nursing Home and formerly of 3153 Mercury Ave., died Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at the Clairemont.\r\nHe was born on July 4, 1914 in Brackett, the son of Alfred and Dora (Hoehn) Martin. Jerry married Margaret E. Biesecker on October 25, 1936 in the Town of Pleasant Valley. He worked as a sales representative for Gamble Robinson, a food broker for Otto L. Kuehn Co. and later worked at Copp's Food Center. Jerry was a member of Hope Lutheran Church since 1945, a member of Knights of Pythias and a local officer and state officer of U.C.T.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons, Thomas (Sharon) Martin of Hot Springs Village, AK and Gary "Butch" (Joanne) Martin of Eau Claire; sister, Margaret (Russell) Crandell and sister-in-law, Catherine Martin both of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren, Mike (Diane) Martin of Superior, Jon (Nikki) Martin of South Range, Jackie (Mark) Felmlee of Eau Claire, Chad (Kristen) Martin of Dallas, TX, Kim Martin of Menomonie, Jason (Lisa) Martin of Minneapolis, MN, C.J. (Anne) Martin of Arcadia, Kelly (Neil) Baillie of Hudson and Justin (Angela) Martin of Roseville, MN; sixteen great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; and several nieces, nephews and friends.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert; and two brothers, Immanuel and Lloyd.\r\nFuneral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2003 at Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Roger R. Skatrud officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the Church.\r\nMemorials may be directed to Hope Lutheran Church.
