Elaine M. Frank, 84, of Eau Claire died on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born in Eau Claire on April 17, 1923, the daughter of Maurice and Hazel (Hendrickson) Hagman.\r\nShe graduated from St. Patrick's High School with the class of 1940.\r\nElaine married Gerald "Gerry" J. Frank at St. James Catholic Church on June 9, 1973.\r\nAfter high school she worked for the Draft Board, Presto, and Northwestern Mutual. She then worked 18 years as secretary at Northern States Power until her retirement in 1975. \r\nElaine loved her gardening, her beautiful flowers including violets, lilies, and other flowers, and caring for her friends. \r\nElaine is survived by her husband, Gerry; two step-daughters, Mary Frank of Bloomer and Betsy (James) Olinger of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, David (Kim) Olinger and Daniel (Denyl) Olinger, Mike (Bonnie) Armstrong, Geri (Garry) Brown, John Armstrong, Jim (Jane) Armstrong; six great-grandchildren, Nicole Brown, Jake, Josh, Jared, Cailin, and Faith Armstrong; brother, Br. Edward Hagman, O.F.M.Cap of Madison; and she is also survived by various cousins in the United States and Germany.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, James Hagman.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2008, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St., Eau Claire. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving her family.
