Elaine M. Heffernan, age 95, of Eau Claire, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire. Elaine was born on Dec 6, 1921, in Eau Claire, to Francis and Lydia (Porter) Fisher. She married Clyde Heffernan on October 4, 1946. Elaine enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. Elaine is survived by her son, Patrick (Mary) Heffernan of Dresser, WI; daughter, Nancy (Richard) Harlson of Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Christa, Jean, Nicole and Eric; great-grandchildren, Mia, Jacob and Ella; sisters, Mary Patricia Duerkop and Kathleen Fisher; sister-in-law, Bernadette Fisher; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; brothers, Joseph, Robert and Charles. In lieu of flowers and memorials, please direct donations in Elaine's name to the charity of your choice. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 322 Fulton St., Eau Claire, with Father George Thayilkuzhithottu officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery, Eau Claire. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
